2 Chronicles 26 : 5 - " As long as he sought the Lord, God made him prosper."

Our success depends on what we focus on.

What are we focusing on or rather seeking help from?

King Uzziah sought God in everything and he prospered. He was successful in every area.

The Bible says in Matt 6:33 " But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."

Seeking His kingdom and righteousness is nothing but seeking God Himself. We should 'seek' God for everything and anything. When God is our ultimate priority, there's nothing that we don't posses.

God is the Creator and the Sustain-er of everything. He holds everything in His hands. Seeking Him is the best thing to ever do. In any crisis, situation God is the ultimate "Go - To".

A question to ponder upon - Who/What is your "Go-To"?

Hmmmmmm... Well if its God, then you are delivered (Praise him....haaaallleeelluujjiah), but if its people or anything else, you might as well think about it.

Trusting God and having faith in His decisions will clear out all our problems. Be it a big issue or a small one, just submit it to God and see the marvelous deeds He does for us.

There is so much that God is speaking to us thorough this simple word 'SEEK'.

It is time to "SEEK" God and not others.

  • S - Surrender & Submit

  • E - Empty and eagerly wait

  • E - Embrace the answer

  • K - be Keen to obey

Let's dive deeper into knowing it better.

  • S - Surrender & Submit - Surrender to God and submit your situation to Him. No doubt God knows everything you're going through but He wants us to communicate it to Him. Imagine, take any human relationship and you're the only one talking and doing everything and there's no response from the other person, how would you feel. You want to have responsive relationship but not a one sided one. Even though you know the situation, you'd still want the other person to communicate with you. In the same way, God wants us to be responsive and expressive with Him. All our emotions do matter to God. Surrendering the situation to God is the key factor for your solution. Place everything at the feet of God.

  • E - Empty and eagerly wait - Empty yourself from all your thoughts and expectations. Go before God with an empty heart and eagerly wait for His response. Be open to the move of God and wait patiently till He answer's. According to Isaiah 55 : 8,9 - "8. "For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways," says the Lord.9. For as the heavens are higher than the earth,So are My ways higher than your ways,And My thoughts than your thoughts." Never fill your heart with expectations according to your will and plan, for God has greater plans for you. Never jump to conclusions and never be hasty but wait upon the Lord. Waiting is really difficult but developing this as a skill would be really beneficial.

  • E - Embrace the answer - Accept whatever God speaks to you. Do not reject the answer God has given. Always be ready to accept and receive God's decision or verdict. Even though it is difficult to digest the answer, just do it. This is the reason that we should empty our hearts and be open to Him. It makes it so easy to accept and embrace the answer.

  • K - be Keen to obey - No matter what answer you get from God be keen to observe it. Be keen to do it. Whether you like it or not, just listen and obey and do whatever He has asked you to do. Just obey and always be willing to obey. Doing what God tells us to causes us to grow, to prosper and be successful. According to Jeremiah 29:11 -"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope." God always has plans for our good and not to destroy us.

Therefore we must always "SEEK" God.

Never ever seek God depending on others as Uzziah did. He sought God as long as Zechariah was there and directed him to do so. Just as Zechariah passed away, Uzziah stopped to seek God. Zechariah was the driving force for Uzziah to seek God for a certain time.

We shouldn't be like Uzziah depending on others for us to seek God but a heart to be willing to seek God.

But seek God with all your heart and soul, then you'll never go off track.

God bless.
